ADVANCING PARTNERS & COMMUNITIES (APC)
PROJECT GOAL
To ensure that communities are measurably contributing to the achievement of the 90-90-90 targets in 8 PEPFAR priority districts in Botswana.
OBJECTIVES
- Promoting increased utilization of integrated community-based services in support of the first 90 and prevention objectives
- Promoting improved linkages to care, adherence to anti-retroviral therapy (ART) and Tuberculosis (TB) drugs, and retention in care through community-based efforts in support of the second and third 90s
- Promoting changes in gender norms and reducing the impact of gender-based violence (GBV)
ACTIVITIES
- Community HIV testing and counselling services
- Linking of clients to treatment, care and support services
- Community HIV care and support
- Community TB care
- Gender norms messages and referrals for Post GBV care
- HIV prevention or behaviour change communication with focus on Adolescent Girls and Young Women
TARGET GROUP
- Adolescent Girls and Young Women
- People Living with HIV but not knowing their status
- TB patients
- People Living with HIV and on ART, defaulting, newly enrolled or those who do not adhere to ART
